The T-Panel Utility Freeze Protection System

The utility panel system is designed to be installed anywhere extra freeze protection coverage is needed such as valleys, chimneys and other areas prone to ice buildup. The snow melting system is designed to eliminate ice and snow, keeping your home safer and reducing the risk of winter damage. This freeze protection panel is 6” wide and is guaranteed to heat the entire length of the panel. The utility panel can be custom cut to fit the length any of your roof’s nooks & crannies.

Each freeze protection panel is powder coated with a durable finish that will best compliment the colors of your home. We have many different panel colours to choose from. (see below)

The 6" Utility Panel System Includes a 6" Snap Loc Top, 6" Utility Base Panel and a 6" Valley Expansion Joint Cap (EJC). The Utility Panel System requires 2ft of Heat Trace per foot of panel.

Freeze Protection Panel Colors

Utility T-Panels are available in a stock selection of 8 colors; or pick virtually any custom color to coordinate with a new or existing roof. The powder coating provides a durable, attractive finish that will best complement the look of your home. Our color coatings carry a 20-year warranty. A 6-foot Architectural Cover is also available to encapsulate the freeze protection panels for a cleaner look.
 

Compatible Heating Cables

T-panels have 2 sets of heat channels for 3 different types of heat sources:

• 3/8” PEX Hydronic Radiant Tubing

• Commercial Grade-Self Regulating Heat Cable (5, 8 or 10 Watt per foot in 100-130 VAC or 208-277 VAC)

• Resistance Cables

Panel Lengths

6 feet per panel. Cut panels to modify fit.

Components Supplied

6” Eave Base Panel, 6” Snap Loc Top Panel, Transition Panel, expansion joint caps, end caps and 2 ft of heating element per foot of panel.

Other Available Items

• Self regulating heat cable for gutters and downspouts.

• 30 mA Ground Fault Protection plug kits (120 volt or 240 volt kits are available).

Electrical and Environmental Requirements

Article 426-28 of the N.E.C. requires 30 mA Ground Fault circuit protection for snow and ice melting applications.
